The WST Network was originally built and designed to telephone company specifications with "hot-standby" protection, DC power, and battery plants at all sites capable of sustaining the system for 8+ hours with out generator or commercial power. Additionally, all sites have generator back-up with fuel capable of sustaining generator operation for 5+ days before refueling.

• Transport on WST network is completely seperate from local copper or fiber facilities
• Provides complete redundant path for connectivity.
• WST network is proven through Loma Prieta Earthquake of 1989, where all sites continued operation through power outages and local telephone office overloading.
• High capacity solutions can be tailored to clients specific needs and delivered to there premise (within WST service area)
• Support of mission critical activities requiring greater than 99.9% availability
